Applied Kinesiology (AK)
Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a natural, non-invasive method that uses muscle testing to assess how your body is functioning in terms of structure, chemistry, and mental well-being. It helps identify and treat a variety of health issues by looking at how your muscles, joints, and organs are connected. Treatments may include joint adjustments, soft tissue therapies, acupuncture, nutritional advice, and more to help improve your overall health.
AK combines knowledge from many different fields, such as chiropractic care, acupuncture, medicine, nutrition, and psychology, for a well-rounded approach to healing. This method is supported by the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK), which ensures that practitioners are well-trained and continually updated on the latest techniques and research.
Triad Of Health
The Triad of Health identifies the three primary causes of health problems: structural, chemical, and mental. These elements are interconnected, with structure being the foundation of the triad. All health issues, whether functional or pathological, involve one or more of these components. AK allows practitioners to evaluate the balance between these areas and target treatments to address imbalances, helping to uncover the root cause of a patient’s health problems. This concept is deeply rooted in chiropractic philosophy, emphasizing the importance of addressing all aspects of health.
